Must-have Beauty Products For Summer

Hello my lovelies,
Summer is almost here and it's time to get yourself ready for the heat waves. Don't let the heat overwhelm you, there are just a few summer staples that you need to follow up on and you'll be all set to face the daunting sun. A little preparation and a few mandatory rules to follow, and you can have some fun in the sun without holding back. These are my top 5 summer beauty essentials that I personally use during the summer. It is like my summer routine. Simple and easy to maintain. Hope you like this blog post, enjoy your summer vacation! Nikoleta, xoxo.

1. First thing first I always like to use primer for my face. It covers and fulfills any kind of my pores and fine lines. I like to use the Porefessional from Benefit. It is lightweight and it does a good job to keep my face natural looking. It's designed to give you smooth skin and I'd say that's exactly what it does, it completely smooths and evens out the skin with a balmy like coat and then, once you put make up over the top, your skin really does look flawless.

2.  Second I always like to put some sunscreen, that way I will protect myself from the sun. I use the Clarins, which is formulated for sensitive skin, this lightweight cream helps prevent irritation and redness while protecting skin against harmful UVA and UVB rays. This sun protection product contains Phyto-Sunactyl 2 Complex promotes a more even tan by providing reinforced protection to preserve your skin's youth and beauty. Offers SPF 30.

3.   My favourite product to use for my lips is the Sugar Ruby Fresh Lipbalm, love this product! It is the perfect addition for the holidays as it has a beautiful, sparkly red tint. Its iridescent finish, thanks to the addition of mica, a light reflecting mineral, is a first for the Fresh Sugar Lip line. Formulated with a handful of essential oils, such as jojoba, castor seed, grape seed, avocado, black currant, and sunflower oil, as well as (you guessed it!) sugar and nourishing vitamins A, C, and E, this intensive treatment is bound to restore moisture back into the lips. With an SPF of 15. The smooth texture is non-sticky and doesn't feel greasy, despite containing a variety of natural oils. This tinted treatment is also long-lasting, and I can go a good 5 hours before having to re-apply.

4.  Not to forget my absolute favourite mascara during summer the Maybelline Rocket Volume Express Waterproof, which is one of the best products that I have used from Maybelline. What I love most about this mascara is that it does not smudge a single bit, which is rare for me and I wear only waterproof mascaras. It also thickens my lashes very well - two coats usually does a sufficient job. The removal process is actually a lot better than I anticipated, especially seeing that this mascara did not budge on me during the day. I think this mascara is pretty awesome and highly recommend it. It is a whole lot better than the lashblast because it does not smudge, is easier to remove and the bristles, even though they look so similar to lashblast, grabs your lashes better and coat nice really nicely.

5.  The last but not least is the L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper eyebrow gel, which is also something that I use every single day, and it is definitely my go to product in the mornings. My brows are already naturally quite full but the brow mascara does a great job at evening them out and setting them in place for the whole day. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who like me prefers the more natural eyebrow look. This product just adds a minimal tint and keeps the hair in place once added and adds a little definition.

What are some of your must-have beauty products for summer?

10 Tips For Being A Successful Blogger

Hello my lovelies,
Today I decided to write and post something different. Starting from myself how I started my blog and what made me do that. Beauty is my passion, all the things that are related with beauty interests me and I love that. I started my blog a half a year from now and I totally love it. I can write whatever I want and help you guys, sharing my tips and beauty stuff that I try. Hope you enjoy this blog post, have a nice weekend! Nikoleta, xoxo.
Many people have contemplated starting a blog at some point in their life. These days setting up a blog takes only minutes for a bare bones site. But there is a big difference between having a blog and being a blogger. Running a successful blog is not easy and requires a lot of work, but it’s also a lot of fun if your heart is really in it.  First of all let’s clarify what “success” means in the blogging world. A successful blog is one with a steady traffic flow and a constantly growing audience that keeps coming back for more.

Here are 10 tips for becoming a successful blogger:
1.) Passion – If you don’t have a real passion for the subject you’re writing about you will never be a successful blogger. It’s a long and tough road building a blog audience and without true passion you’re guaranteed to fizzle out.
2.) Bloggers Must Blog – 1 or 2 blog posts a year is not going to cut it. Writing a blog post when you get around to it will not work. If you dread having to write a post you probably shouldn’t be a blogger.
3.) Be Consistent – This goes hand in hand with tip #2. The more blogging the better but being consistent is almost more important. From day 1 you need to figure out realistically how often you can blog and then stick to that. If it’s every day, 3 times a week, or every Saturday you need to stick with that. The way to build an audience is to have an established posting schedule.
4.) Make Your Blog User Friendly – Make all the content you’ve worked so hard to write easily accessible. Have a list on your sidebar with recent posts. List other articles you’ve written of potential interest at the end of your posts. Include an archive too so people can read your older content.
5.) Collect Email Addresses – I cannot stress enough how valuable it is to collect the email addresses of your readers (should they choose to give it of course). This is not so you can SPAM them but so you can send them updates about the blog or send them a weekly list of all your posts for that week or month. Sending out a weekly or monthly newsletter can be very effective at building an audience.

6.) RSS Feed Link – Make sure to put a link to your blog’s RSS feed in a prominent place. You want to encourage people to subscribe to your posts.
7.) Talk To Other Bloggers (Successful Ones) – Reach out to other bloggers in your niche. Blogging is not a “me vs them” competition where one blogger has to fail in order for another to succeed. If they write about the same things as you they are not the enemy. Having relationships with already established bloggers in your niche can make all the difference in the world. They may link to one of your posts or recommend your blog to their audience.
8.) Comment on other blogs – Be a regular in the comments section of other people’s posts in your niche. Become a part of the community. This goes hand in hand with tip #7
9.) Make Social Sharing Easy – Your readers need to be able to share your posts to their favorite social network with a single click. You want your content easy to spread around and share. The most important sharing buttons to have are for Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. If you have nothing else make sure you at least have those! While we’re on the subject, feel free to hit one of those buttons at the top of this post or at the side and share it!
10.) Be Patient – Your blog is NOT going to be a success overnight. If you are not in it for the long haul don’t bother. You can start to see a nice stream of traffic and some regular readers in a few months depending on how much time you put in, but it usually takes years for a blog to really take off.

What do you think guys? Any more tips to recommend me?

Nikoleta, xoxo.

Catrice Absolute Rose Eyeshadow Palette

Hello my beauties,
Hope your having an amazing day. Today I am working, but of course I wouldn’t miss to post another blog post. I tried a new palette that I bought recently, and it is amazing, love it!
I recently bought this ‘Absolute’ palette by Catrice, it is from the new collection. They have 4 different palettes in the ‘absolute’ collection; I went for Absolute Rose, a palette with soft matte and rose shades.
The packaging looks, except for the name, exactly the same as the Absolute Nude one. It’s a simple, small palette with a clear lid. The palette has 6 different shades and also comes with a sponge applicator and brush. There are some mattes, but also some lovely shiny colors in it.
The shades are perfect for lighter skin tones. The size of the pans is perfect if you ask me. They are not too big and not too small. The palette contains 6 gram of product. The first three colors look a lot alike if you ask me. The last three shades are great to add some definition in your look.
Where the first three shades looked the same in the palette, here you can see that they don’t. The first two are great to use as a matte highlighter and the third shade is a lovely pink/brown shade. The other three shades are also very pretty. All six colors have great pigmentation, are very soft and easy to blend. But because they are so soft they can be a little bit too powdery so make sure to tap off your brush!
I really like the palette and I think it’s great to make a soft, daily look with. The only thing that I didn’t like is the quality of the brush, it’s a little hard to work with and I can’t use it to blend the colors. But besides that, the palette is perfect! I bought mine for €4,99.

Have you tried this palette? What are some of your thoughts?

My Top 3 Foundations

Hello my lovelies,
Hope your having a great day! Now I am working during the summer season because of my college I have to do the co-op. I don’t have much time as I thought but I will keep posting as much as I can. I really hope you are enjoying every day of summer. I am writing about my Top/ Best 3 Foundations that I’ve been loving lately. All three of them are amazing two of them are from drugstore, which is amazing.
 Love you all,
 Nikoleta xoxo.

1.      Bourjois 123 Perfection Foundation

The Bourjois 123 Perfection Foundation is a medium-thick liquid that dries as a powder with a matte finish which I prefer. The slight powdery finish feels light on the skin, and does not look cakey or unnatural even when layered on. Two layers is the maximum I go, but one would usually be enough. It is quickly absorbed into the skin and gives a second skin sensation so that it feels light and comfortable to wear throughout the day. This natural-looking foundation also exhibits less tendency to oxidize on my skin. Bourjois 123 Perfection Foundation in shade 52 is just right for me (MAC NC20-25). This foundation would, however, not sit well for those with drier skin as it does not give the dewy look that people with dry skin often look for. For people with oily skin, or even normal-combination skin THIS IS DOPE. Boasting 3 correcting pigments to sort out all imperfections – yellow to conceal dark circles, mauve to perk up dull complexions, green to soften any redness on the face – the first thought that came to find when I first saw it was ‘REAL OR NOT?!’
1.      Yellow pigments – for anti-dark circles
2.      Mauve pigments - for anti-dull complexion
3.      Green pigments – for anti-redness

2.      L'oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation

Pro-Matte comes in 8 shades and there is also a Pro-Matte powder available in 8 shades. They're a bit on the expensive side for a drugstore product at $13.79 each (at CVS) but I've found that in general, L'oreal has become much more expensive than the other drugstore brands, and has been for quite a while now.
This comes in a squeeze tube that's semi-see-through to help with shade selection. The only problem is that it's not 100% see-through, the tube has been mattified and that sort of gives it a translucent effect, but not completely transparent. Just looking at the tubes, there didn't seem to be much variation in the shades.
So I ended up going by the names and selected 102 Shell Beige because typically when a foundation shade has the word "shell" in its name, it's a cooler, pink-toned color, whereas shades with the word "warm" or "golden" tend to be yellow-based. The back of the tube says that the finish is demi-matte, it wears up to 24 hours, has medium coverage, and has an air-light texture. The foundation is definitely very dries extremely fast and just melts in like a second skin. So when I apply this, I have to work in small sections.  The tube says to apply it with your fingers in a rolling motion, but I typically use a Beauty Blender or Real Techinques sponge to get a more flawless effect.  I've found that with dry skin, using a damp sponge also helps to minimize flaking.
Overall, I really love this foundation! It's super lightweight and undetectable on the skin and it covers fairly well.  I love the finish because it's matte without being dull or flat.  It also has no scent so those who are sensitive will like that as well.

3.      Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is just as the name describes - a luminous silk foundation. The texture is gorgeous, silky and creamy and blends even more seamlessly. A little goes a long way with this number.
The finish is satin-velvet - a semi-matte - perfect for those with my skin type. It lasts very well as it dries down to the semi-matte finish after a few seconds after blending. The coverage is medium and buildable, and works very, very well mixed together with the Giorgio Armarni Fluid Sheers (I have #1) to create a brightened, pearl finish. On my skin this lasts me over at least 10 hours but requires 1-2 touch ups.
The packaging is beautiful, sophisticated and very solid and durable without being too heavy. The GA logo on the cap is just another one of their luxurious touches for our guilty pleasure.
The reason this is #3 on my list is because although the texture is very silky, it is a little too creamy for my liking. I can feel the foundation is there. However, perhaps I have just not figured out the most effective way of applying this foundation. Another personal con includes the slight sunscreen-ish scent. Also note that this foundation does not contain SPF.

Which are some of your top/best foundations? Any recommendation to try a new one?

My Beauty Whish List 2015

Hello my beauties,
Hope your having a great day! Today is another day where I write a blog post, and this time I decided to share my Wish List 2015, since I haven't done one yet. I am looking forward to buy these beauty things, because I heard a lot of good things about them, and some are also brand new! Hope you enjoy it :)

1. Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer

First thing first is the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer gives you buildable, even coverage with a luminous, demi-matte finish. Ultra lightweight, this high-tech formula melds like a second skin effect and gives you full coverage in an instant.
For complete coverage, just keep building; no matter how much you apply, Naked Skin Concealer always blends beautifully and won't settle into fine lines.”
I really want to try this one out, it sounds amazing, and I am looking for a good concealer I think this is the one!
It has also Japanese green tea, which helps reduce the appearance of any red circles and gives you a brighter and radiant complexion.
The bottle is gorgeous, and easy to manage with it, which I love!
It comes in a range of different shades that will fit your skin tone.

2. Caudalie Beauty Elixir

“Inspired by the "elixir of youth" used by Queen Isabelle of Hungary, Caudalie Beauty Elixir smoothes features, tightens pores, and gives the complexion a burst of radiance. An excellent base for make-up, this water awakens the skin in the morning and livens it up before a night out.”
Love the description of it, which it sound great! Never tried some products from this brand, but I want to try this water so bad. Caudalie Beauty Elixir it can be used as a make-up spray, or a base before you put your make-up on.
Since my skin is dry I really need something like this. I heard that also Victoria Beckham uses it on top of her make-up for a gorgeous finish.

3. My Burberry Eau De Parfum
I am in the hunt for a new fragrance, and I found out this one from Burberry. I use a lot of Burberry perfumes and I love them honestly! For me they are the best. This one is the new one and I can’t wait to buy it and try it! I will also then do a full review on it. It is the My Burberry Eau De Parfum.
“Inspired by the trench coat and its heritage of British design and craftsmanship, My Burberry Eau De Parfum captures the fragrance of a London garden after the rain.
The scent is a contemporary British grand floral and features a delicate heart of rose, woven with an unexpected touch of geranium leaf. Top notes of sweet pea and bergamot fuse with a geranium, golden quince and freesia heart, rounded out with a base of patchouli and rain-tipped damask and centifolia roses.”

4. Naked Urban Decay Smoky

Last but not least! My most wanted palette ever, of course from Urban Decay!!! This time a brand new Naked palette and SMOKY! Love it, love it, love it.
Okay, ready to proceed? The newest addition to the Naked family lands on July 8 and has everything you love about Naked — wearable-yet-cool neutrals, gorgeous packaging, a killer shade range, amazing color payoff — but with a few spankin'-new twists in the format. Unlike Nakeds 1 through 3, which focused on specific color stories, Naked Smoky will span a range of color families.  Ah, isn’t it amazing? It has all the perfect shades and you can create whatever look you want.

What are some of your beauty wish list things?

Nikoleta, xoxo.
